Popular local Georgia cuisines are Abkhazia, Adjara, and Guria. The most popular Georgian food from Abkhazia cuisine is Abysta (Porridge made of corn) and the most popular dessert is Akuarkuar, a cookie with honey. In Adjara cuisine in moutians, dairy products are the main items. The most popular dish in Adjara is Adjaruli Khachapuri and Borano. Guria is mainly based on chicken meat, cornbreads, and walnuts. Satsivi (Meat, mostly chicken) is the most popular dish in Guria. So, on your trip to Georgia, you have plenty of dishes to try and taste

Tbilisi is the capital city of Georgia and has come a long way to regain its eternal charms. The city offers many things to see to its travelers; from its monuments, grand churches, ancient fortress, and landscapes. The city is set in the deep valley of the Mtkvari River, and now has a full new 21st dimension of interesting cafes, lodgings, funky bars, clubs, parks, streets, and attractions.

You will need valid travel Document/Passport , Photo and Credit/debit card ( you need to carry with you just in case if immigration people ask for it). All documentation should be presented in English.

 

Your travel document must meet the following criteria: 

- Its validity shall extend at least for 3 months after the validity period of requested Georgian visa 

-Document should include not less then 2 free pages.

-Should not be damaged and should not include unofficial remarks.

DAY 1 - Tbilisi 

  • After the Immigration Check Transfer to the Hotel for Check-In                                                                               

  • Free Time to relax

  • Overnight stay in Tbilisi

 

DAY 2 Tbilisi City Tour

  • Breakfast at the Hotel

  • Tbilisi city tour - Cable Car/Ropeway to Narikala Fortress to enjoy breathtaking panoramic view of the city. 

  • Walk down to the district of Sulphur bath houses. 

  • Passing by the Tbilisi Central Mosque – the only mosque in Tbilisi. 

  • You will stroll through the Shardeni area - full of narrow streets with cozy cafés, wine tasting bars, souvenir shops, and breathe in the living past. Beautiful place with an amazing night life. 

  • You are able to visit Anchiskhati Basilica.

  • Visit to the Clock tower of Rezo Gabriadze Theatre.

  • Back to Hotel & Overnight stay in Tbilisi

 

DAY 3 Tbilis - Ananuri - Gudauri - Kazbegi

  • Breakfast at the Hotel

  • Proceed to Georgian Military Highway up North towards the border with Russia.

  • Your first stop will be at Ananuri fortress. Ananuri was a castle and seat of the eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty which ruled the area.          

  • Next Stop is Gudauri – young and rapid developing winter sports resort located at Kazbegi region of Georgia, 120 km from Tbilisi, at the height of 2,196 m near the Cross Pass. The slopes of Gudauri are completely above the tree line and are best for free-riders and are generally considered to be avalanche-safe. Skiing season lasts from Dec to April. In summer Gudauri is calm, Green environment; cool weather and clean air make a positive impact on the general health condition of people.  

  • After that drive to Gergeti Trinity Church - At an altitude of 7119 feet (2,170 meters), the twelfth or thirteenth century monument was erected on the southern slopes of Mkinvarcveri. Gergeti Trinity Church is an important temple, remarkable for its beautiful scenery. The Gergeti Trinity Church is set poignantly on a hill directly below the towering white massif of Mount Kazbek, which sits at 5,033 meters. The church is a popular waypoint for trekkers in the area.           

(Please also note that from Kazbegi leisurely 1.5 hour walk up through beautiful walleyes leads us to Gergeti, Option drive is by 4X4 cars for additional cost)

Day 04: Departure from Tbilisi

  • Breakfast at the Hotel

  • After breakfast depart to the airport where it is time to say goodbye to this fascinating place on earth.
