Egyptian Tourism

Egypt, a country linking northeast Africa with the Middle East, dates to the time of the pharaohs. Millennia-old monuments sit along the fertile Nile River Valley, including Giza's colossal Pyramids and Great Sphinx as well as Luxor's hieroglyph-lined Karnak Temple and Valley of the King's tombs. The capital, Cairo, is home to Ottoman landmarks like Muhammad Ali Mosque and the Egyptian Museum, a trove of antiquities.

Traditional Egyptian food is another reason you should visit this country. All the ancient history makes Egypt’s cuisine what it is today, with each civilization leaving a mark on the preparation of dishes. Dishes Like Ful Medammes (s a stew of cooked fava beans served with vegetable oil, cumin, and optionally with chopped parsley, garlic, onion, lemon juice, chili pepper, and other vegetables, herb and spice ingredients. It is notably a staple food in Egypt); Koshari (A layering of rice, macaroni, lentils, and chickpeas topped off with caramelized onions, thick red sauce, and a garlic/chili/vinegar/ sauce.), Kunafa (Kunafa is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made with thin noodle-like pastry, or alternatively fine semolina dough, soaked in sweet, sugar-based syrup, and typically layered with cheese), etc.

Much like the Nile, the Red Sea coast, a once microcosm of the world that hosted sailors from far away lands, has also become a pivotal part of the country. Turquoise waves break against rocky capes and windswept beaches in the foreground of an endless mountain range, a much-needed escape for the people of Cairo.

Cairo, Egypt’s sprawling capital, is set on the Nile River. At its heart is Tahrir Square and the vast Egyptian Museum, a trove of antiquities including royal mummies and gilded King Tutankhamun artifacts. Nearby, Giza is the site of the iconic pyramids and Great Sphinx, dating to the 26th century BC. In Gezira Island’s leafy Zamalek district, 187m Cairo Tower affords panoramic city views.

With sunshine and warm waters all year round, Sharm El Sheikh is the closest destination to Europe where you can soak up in the sun, dive amazing corals reefs, and enjoy the sea any time you need a break from routine.

Alexandria is a Mediterranean port city in Egypt. During the Hellenistic period, it was home to a lighthouse ranking among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World as well as a storied library. Today the library is reincarnated in the disc-shaped, ultramodern Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The city also has Greco-Roman landmarks, old-world cafes, and sandy beaches. Its 15th-century seafront Qaitbay Citadel is now a museum.

Red Sea - Revel under the sun in the Red Sea Riviera and enjoy some of the best seaside and family activities in eastern Egypt. Located near the Eastern Desert and south of the Sinai, the Red Sea Riviera is a long coastal area full of beautiful beaches that lead to the Red Sea. Here you'll be able to swim among dolphins, dugongs, and an overwhelming number of flora and fauna.

The Nile Valley is home to the Valley of the Kings, the iconic Pyramids, the majestic Sphinx, and the stunning temples of Luxor and Karnak. Explore the cradle of civilization and sail the world’s longest river. Visit the Nile Valley and marvel at the wonders of the Ancient Egyptians. There is nothing in the world like it. To experience Nile Valley you would need to sail into Nile Cruise.

Luxor, once an Ancient Egyptian capital, is known today as the world's greatest open-air museum. From the tomb of Tutankhamen in the Valley of the Kings and the magnificent sunset views at the majestic temple complexes of Karnak and Luxor to the exciting and fun Nile cruises.

Aswan - Located about 899 km south from Cairo, Aswan is a serene Nile Valley destination where the Nile is more majestic than anywhere else, flowing through granite rocks, and round emerald islands covered in palm groves and tropical plants. It is considered as an all-time favorite winter destination. Moreover, you'll be surprised to see how many monuments and sites this small city has to offer. Consider sailing to the temple of Philae, seeing the Agha Khan Mausoleum and taking an excursion to St. Simeon Monastery.
