The flame towers are one of the most visited attractions with three towers built to resemble fire at night. Other attractive places to visit in Baku are Maiden’s tower, fountains square, Boulevard, Vahid gardens, Flame Towers, Mud Volcanoes, Ateshgah - Fire Temple, Yanardagh - Fire Mountain and Palace of the Shirvanshahs.

Naftalan Spa -
More than 170 years later, Azeri Light crude oil is still the country's most valuable resource. But in the little town of Naftalan, 320 kilometers west of Baku in the foothills of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, an unusual local oil -- also called Naftalan -- has been attracting the travel set for hundreds of years.

This crude oil is too thick for commercial use and it isn't much good for burning. But it's said to have health-giving properties and so people have been bathing in it since ancient times. Naftalan oil is reputed to ease more than 70 skin, joint and bone diseases. It's used as a disinfectant, an anti-inflammatory and even as an anesthetic.

Hammam - A Hammam is a middle eastern type of steam room bath experience intended as a frequent ritual for cleansing the body. It involves extremely hot temperatures a wet stream bath followed by exfoliation and sometimes massage. Styles vary and can range from very basic and cheap to luxurious and expensive.

If you feel cold, tired, lost or a dip in your enthuse in Baku, it is time to go to Hammam. The Hammam tradition in Baku is quite interesting. In old times Hammams used to be mainly a place for entertainment in the city. People with their family and friends used to gather here to relax in the warm atmosphere. They discussed local issues and even match making for their son and daughters took place as a part of chat.
